about fanlistings
So, what exactly is a fanlisting? A fanlisting is a webpage that lists fans of a certain subject--whether that subject be a movie, actor, actress, TV show, or even type of rock. We are all based out of the home network, TheFanlistings.org. While some fanlistings offer extra goodies or information, the general purpose is simply just to list fans and allow them to see how far reaching their obession spans across the globe.about this fanlisting
This fanlisting is the only TFL-approved list for Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith the final movie installment of George Lucas' prequels, which chronicle the life of Anakin Skywalker--father of Luke and Princess Leia. I feel really blessed and lucky to have been approved (see the credits section for further explanation and worship) to run this fanlisting, because, without a doubt, this is the best movie of the Star Wars prequels.I chose the name "A Dark Path" because of the Yoda line referenced on the main page: Once you start down the dark path, forever it will dominate your destiny.... I seriously angsted over a name for days and days until my mom (of all people) suggested it to me. Then, when I went and paid Mr. Lucas another $10 to see Episode III, I began to realize just how often the term "path" was used and it struck me as being the perfect title, even if it wasn't very clever.
What's so great about this movie is that it's driven by this dark path, this seduction, and we watch as it breaks down all the characters until the final climatic ending that changed the fate of the galaxy forever. Anakin, so driven by the need to protect his wife and unborn child(ren), slowly begins to open his ears to Chancellor Palpatine's stories and teachings. And even though it obviously pains him, he makes a choice. He makes a choice. He goes against his Jedi family, slaughtering them until not even the younglings survive all because he is misguided--and, as George Lucas once stated, "pathetic."
People will try to say that the prequels can never, and will never, match the glory of the Original Trilogy. Probably not. But what they did do was open the doorway for younger fans to embrace the characters, to be dazzled by extraordinary battle scenes, and see, in the clash of two blue lightsabers the moral ambiguity of right and wrong, love and hatred.
So, what I guess I'm trying to say is that you need to join this fanlisting if you're a fan. So join. :)
